JUST ANNOUNCED: A SEQUEL to #LemonadeMouth is OFFICIALLY IN DEVELOPMENT!! Retweet.. Spread the big news!!! [1]

On April 6, 2012, Chris Brochu, who played bad boy Ray in the flick, took to his twitter to announce the news that Lemonade Mouth 2 was no longer in production. He wrote:

Dear Lemon-heads, I figured since I play the bad guy I might as well be the one to say this. I regret to inform you that as of now there will not be a Lemonade Mouth 2. However this should not stop you from speaking your mind or requesting that it should be made. After all, standing up for what you love, being heard and starting a revolution is what Lemonade Mouth was all about….right? [2][3][4]

In interviews with Kidzworld Media and BSCKids in May 2012, Bridgit Mendler also confirmed that the TV sequel would not be produced.

There’s not [going to be a sequel to Lemonade Mouth] unfortunately. We had such a great experience working on the movie, and they tried to figure something out for a sequel, but everyone at Disney felt like the movie had completed its story in the first movie. It was a great experience, and I loved working with the cast members and still see them frequently. [5][6]

Even though the sequel didn't happen, Mark Peter Hughes made a "Lemonade Mouth 2" in book form. Author Mark Peter Hughes released the book November 13th 2012.
